Morning Yoga Sessions

Every morning, as soon as I get out of bed, the first thing I do is 15 to 30 minutes of yoga. My mat and yoga clothes are always ready and waiting. Making it as easy as possible to get out of bed and start really helps in getting me going. And I’ve come to love my yoga sessions. If I have to choose between yoga and breakfast, I’ll skip breakfast. If you know how much I love food, you know that that says a lot.

I got sick of my yoga app and the yoga class at my gym turned into a bootcamp (with shouting drillmaster, so not yoga!) so went on YouTube to find something new. I also have a Google Chromecast so I can cast YouTube videos to my TV, much nicer than watching a small iPad screen. YouTube has so many great yoga tutorials! My favourite channel at the moment is Yoga with Adriene. I like her vibe. She’s fun and friendly and her voice is not annoying. Some other videos were great, but I couldn’t stand the voice of the person doing them, so that didn’t seem like a good way to start the day.
